Tributes and Condolences for Lt. Eric Eslary

My hand cannot write because it is filled with tears, i cannot find a word to describe Eric. I guess I could say hero, because that is what he was to me. I met Eric and Bleck at his home. I saw Eric on the news talking about his best friend and partner Ando, at that moment i felt his pain, i too lost my best friend Laker whom i had for 19 years she too had the same cancer that took his best friend. Here I was seeing this strong man cry my heart melted I knew he was an angel, I knew I wanted to get him and his family a gift that they could cherish and remember Ando forever, so I took to my oven and baked baked baked. I raised money for a beautiful bench, as I called Eric and told him about the gift he was so kind, I could not give him the bench when I promised being I have stage 4 cancer and times were not too good for me, so as I got better I called him again to let him know I did not forget about Ando and once again I set up a time to meet, I went to his home, not knowing me at all, he invited me in showed me all he had saved and collected for Ando, his leash his badge pictures and the beautiful box that held his friend's ashes. I will never for the rest of my life forget Eric, he was a beautiful person who loved his job and his family, I know Ando met him at the gate he took his lead and they walked away together. You will forever be in my heart Eric, I will see you again in Heaven. You will forever be my hero. Sleep with the angels.

The support shown by the Ligonier community and surrounding communities during the funeral was amazing. I'm not sure if the word amazing says enough. It provided so much comfort to the family and touched hearts of all. On top of that, the hundreds of first responders from across the country saluting and supporting was breathtaking. The township lost an outstanding officer and friend to all. The Guardians of the Night, Eric and Ando are looking over us all, the Hunter, the Archer...Orion

Sometimes things happen that we may not understand but God has a purpose and God has a plan. A life taken so soon and tragic and many may ask why,but in God's word it says man was appointed once to live but als once to die. I'm sure he will be missed as he was the best that he could be,and maybe he would say may the work I've done truly speak for me. So as you pay your last respects to a a hero just say see you later cause its really not good bye, and when you sit and think of him just look to the sky...
God Bless you all
